Mark Wahlberg's idea, and the show is inspired by his first years in Hollywood character. Vince is based on Wahlberg. Eric is based on Eric Weinstein, a close friend of Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson, his manager. Turtle is based on Donnie Carroll, alias "Donkey", a former assistant Wahlberg. Drama is based on Johnny "Drama" Alves (cousin of Mark Wahlberg), Donnie Wahlberg, who had contracted to support his younger brother. Ari problem is based on Wahlberg's real-life agent, Ari Emanuel. I love this show!
