The HBO production of a game of thrones?

I heard HBO has bought the rights to George RR Martins, a game of thrones, does anyone know when it to publish, or when the next novel in the series will be released?

According to IMDB, the HBO series from a Game of Thrones will air in 2008. However, it is probably too early to set a specific date. The next novel has not been scheduled for release yet, but plans by George RR Martin to complete the 7th and final book in 2011, so it makes a late 2007 / early 2008 release seems likely.
