Will you cancel HBO to retaliate for Deadwood's demise?

I'm considering cancelling my HBO subscription as a protest against them cancelling yet another fantastic series. Is anyone else doing this? Or is it a futile punishment?

HBO has been around a long time - cancelling a subscription because a series was cancelled will have no effect.

Did you know that Milch was only planning for one more season anyway? But he and HBO couldn't come to terms on that 4th season.

Milch isn't cancelling HBO - he is actually preparing another series for HBO (one of the reasons he and HBO couldn't get together on Deadwood S4).

That said, yes I will be cancelling my HBO subscription - but not out of spite or protest. Rather, without Deadwood there really isn't much on it I want to watch, and I am sure I can make better use of the money. I will re-up when the final short season of Sopranos gets aired.
