HBO is trying something we've never tried before. While most of the HBO series participation dark, gritty stories, such as those found in the Mafia success of The Sopranos or the life-in-the-inside prison drama Oz, they have decided to step in another direction. Lucky Louie recently premiered at the station, and the attempt HBO on landing in the crowd sitcom. With Louis CK, a semi-famous comedian and the man of the house, the program also has playing Pamela Adlon his wife and 5 year old, Kelly Gould playing her daughter. The chemistry of the cast is excellent, fresh and intelligent dialogue you'd expect from a Hollywood comedy drafting team. Lucky Louie follows the life of an American family standard, but with some notable exceptions, HBO. Gone are all standards of decency that you expect from a show that revolves around a family. The dialogue is straight-from-the-gut, and it will be left holding his belly with laughter. Touching topics ranging from child rearing to sex after marriage, the program consistently provides the punch lines that will leave you in stitches. While the program the beginning has been quite powerful, it's only been two episodes aired so far.
The pilot episode of Lucky Louie showed that although it is a comedy Progress, not harsh. Among other prohibitions that crashed in the whole episode, the bad habit of masturbation Luis in the closet and comes out when his daughter asked him why things are as they are, simply respond with "Because God is dead and we are alone." That's the kind of comedy that can expect from this program - almost entirely too honest look into the peculiarities of the average American family. It is a breath of fresh air to see a true to life than comedy makes no apologies, and no taboo subjects. Also filmed before a live audience, offering welcome drinks, canned laughter that can be found in most of TV shows. If you are looking for your standard TV stereotype represented family, look elsewhere. If you are part of a sick class working middle of the family with a good sense of humor, however, this sample may be right up your alley. Lucky Louie is rated X for its strong language and simulated sex, and can be seen on HBO with new episodes every Sunday night at 10:30 PM.
