On Saturday, January 26th, the Venus II restaurant will host some of the funniest comedians in the area in an effort to raise funds for the organization nonprofit. Doors open at 7 pm and the show starts at 8 pm Tickets are $ 20 each and all proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield.

1,000 members of the Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield High offers young people from the area between the ages of 6-18 with enrichment and recreation programs in a safe environment.
Comedy Night Fund will help support ongoing programming and special events for children at the club.

Night line-up includes:

Chrissy Kelleher, emcee, who has done comedy all over New England, but Marshfield calls home. He has run a successful open mic in Marshfield for more than three years and produces and appears on the sample of all the south coast. This last year has opened for Kevin Nealon and Loretta Loroch appeared in America's Mom Funniest Nickelodeon 3, and has acted in an independent film "Boston Psychiatric", which is still in production.

Andrea Henry a native of Brockton, and a favorite in the Boston scene appearing regularly at the Comedy Connection and the Comedy Studio. Your post until credits include the comedy Nickelodeon's Search for America's Funniest Mom, Comedy Central Open Mic Fight, Yuk Yuk's Great Canadian laugh, and The Boston Comedy Festival Metro Reader's Choice Award.

Jerry Thornton, a veteran comedian and winner of the competition WBCN Boston Comedy Riot. He appeared on HBO in the winning Documentary Emmy Red Sox "Curse of the Bambino". He has worked with national headliners Lenny Clarke, Steven Wright and Anthony Clark. He also writes for various sports such as websites and Stool Sports.com Football cold hard facts.

Rich Gustus, who has appeared on the Comedy Central show, Dr. Katz: Professional Therapist. She has served on several independent films and has opened for Bill Maher, Dennis Leary, Kevin Nealon, Louis CK and many others in the race of his twenties.

James Duffy, who is one of the Boston area last rising stars. Last year was a finalist in the competition both Shorebreak Comedy in Rhode Island and the Valley of Laughter Comedy Festival in western Massachusetts

John Garrison, who has been doing stand-up since 2004. It was one of eight comics to perform in the "New Comics Contest" in 2004 New York Underground Comedy Festival and was the winner in the 2005 Palm Springs Conference Judy Carter Comedy Showcase. He was selected to perform in the 2007 Boston Comedy Festival and his foot is heard on XM radio.

Founded in 1976, Venus II restaurant is in its second generation family operation Drosopoulos. The Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield aims to provide a safe haven for recreation, which includes a variety of supervised activities for over 4,000 youth in the city.
