The most chilling chapter in any book I read was on the memoirs of Grace after midnight, one of Felicia "Snoop" Pearson and David Ritz. It was the chapter entitled "That's why they call it Grandma's House." After reading that chapter I had to immediately close the book. Imagine what happened was horrible and I knew I had to finish my reading that night.

I first picked up this book because I was a fan of HBO's "The Wire" and the series just ended. Felicia's performance in "The Wire" had captured the attention of their viewers, naming it as one of their favorite characters. He wanted to know how someone so young could fill the pages of a memoir. My interest piqued and began my quest for knowledge about this character they called, "Snoop".

We honor their memories about his honesty was brutal. No excuses, no dressing up, just pure truth. When was the last time you read a memoir or autobiography with this opening?

This report takes you from the birth of "Snoop," which was one of the three crosses pound crack baby eyes. This book takes you through his formative years, adolescence, where it is today. You're a fly on the wall teenage life of urban growth on the streets of East Baltimore.

In this book Ms. Pearson gives access to all life. She shares her sexuality, his criminal past, his anguish and his love.

This is a brave on his face memoir well worth reading.
