Cast change in "From the Earth to the Moon?"?
If you remember the HBO miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon", which could remember that the astronaut Pete Conrad (Apollo 12) was played in an episode of Peter Scolari, and in a later episode by Paul McCrane. Why change players midstream? Does anyone know?
How strange! Both actors actually played Pete Conrad in the episode itself. I do not have the "why" but I have no further details. Maybe you can go to imdb.com message boards and then the "why" question (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120570/board/threads/). For now, see below ... From imdb.com: In the first episode, is played astronaut Pete Conrad for two different actors. Peter Scolari plays the role of most of the episode, but in the end "all hands meeting" scene, Paul McCrane takes over the function. (McCrane Conrad replay in episode 7.) From en.wikipedia.org: In 1998 the HBO miniseries From the Earth to the Moon, was played by Peter Scolari (in Episode 1, "Can we do it?") and Paul McCrane (in episode 7, "That is everything ").
