The novels are romantic in nature: supernatural love, that blows through an otherwise normal small town. The books have paved the way for a television series, created by Alan Ball, the genius behind Six Feet Under GEM (another satellite TV). Harris Takes inventions, such as synthetic blood, (a Japanese invention so to speak) that allows vampires to spend time outdoors as real human beings, and a bar called Fangstasia camp attracts people who like this with the undead.

The appearance Jessica, who now live with the bill, has also turned in a more comical side of Bill. Who knew recycling?! It should also be a role Sookie interesting that the relationship with Bill at least, seems to have matured a bit, since they seem better able to withstand the obstacles like oh, say, her boyfriend of killing pervy uncle.

A colorful assortment of characters fill out the cast: The restaurant owner who serves as center stage for the show is also a Shapeshifter. Sookie's brother, Jason, is accused of murder, with falls in an anti-hate vampires, and becomes addicted to vampire blood, whose far-reaching effects as an opiate have become popular among recreational users. Its distributor, Nelsen, is a gay prostitute and drug dealer. City Detective receives neither love nor respect for the residents of City and ends in murder charge itself.

Since I have never read the books, all I knew of this series is what I heard in passing - basically, Sookie, Bill and Eric. Many heated discussions detailing the merits of the bill on Eric, and vice versa. Followed by the inevitable "Is Sookie is really enough hot enough to attract so much attention? "
