HBO Channel Number

Sometimes it's hard to remember a world before television had influenced intelligent films. Whether it's the latest offering from HBO, or even a success as "Mad Men," "everything from the scenery to the angles of the film that would make more sense in a film that in a sitcom has gone from the big screen to flat screens in theaters across the country. The success of this approach to the television shots actually dates back to "The Sopranos," HBO's mega-success that transformed the face of satellite television in the coming years. If it was during the original broadcast show on the cable channel or the current time in replays on TV regularly, the program changed the appearance of television, setting a channel like HBO course towards intelligently directed, beautifully written programming would be just as at home in their arthouse local theater as it is in high definition televisions across America.

After "The Sopranos" crusaders, fans waited anxiously to see what Terence Winter, writer and producer, will your next project. Many thought it would be with HBO, but at first it seemed like he was shopping his options. Fortunately, the madness stopped, and it seems that his next series for HBO, will fly not only "The Sopranos" out of the water, but just could revolutionize the way television provides an again.

To begin with, "Boardwalk Empire" has scored the coup of all coups: the pilot episode is directed by that noneother Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese. A true expert when it comes to films that represent organizations outside the law and corruption, it is logical that the man responsible for what the public "The Departed," "Goodfellas," "Taxi Driver" and "Casino" would jump at the opportunity of working with such rich source material. Based on a popular book by Nelson Johnson, the show centers around the world, of Atlantic City during the 1920s, when alcohol was illegal and a number of illegal smugglers managed to make money for families who later became legal tycoons, while also dealing with the corruption of the early popular gambling destinations.

With such promising material, and a world-famous director on board, it seems that the last Winter project was a shoo-in to win over satellite television viewers and fans alike HBO, but critics could have been even Where reservations. After all, sometimes the adjustment of real stories can get a little tricky, and it is also difficult to strike gold twice. Fortunately, "Boardwalk Empire" is also fortunate to have a cast that is as heavy as its writer and director. The Steve Buscemi is always surprising central role series and their performance has been whispered as deserving of awards in the circles of industry insiders. Perhaps the biggest gamble of casting program is Michael Pitt, a very accomplished, but largely unknown young actor, who is best known for glam rock fans beglittered for her performance in "Hedwig and the Angry Inch ", but directors and film buffs who flew away with her role in" Funny Games. "Scorsese, who became friends with Leonardo DiCaprio as he helped to restart his career in a way that nobody else could have, may well find the traces of a young DiCaprio Pitt in the action. Casting it in this program could have been one of the best decisions, so that eventually there will be enough rich material to demonstrate their ability to act.

Thus, if the loot satellite television are beginning to look a little thin, not fear. If something has a nose for HBO, is a blockbuster, and "Boardwalk Empire" is shaping up to be just that.
