In 1962 the government of India set up first TV network in the country, Doordarshan, remains the only TV channel in India, until the beginning 1980, far from its current range where you can receive a variety of Indian TV channels online on your computer. Mahabharat Ramayana and television were the first major exhibition produced, both were two stories of Hindu mythology based on religious scriptures. Both series created the world record numbers audience to a unique spectacle. In 1986, more people began to own television sets. Although there was a single channel, television production had reached saturation, so the Indian government opened up another channel which had some national and some regional programs. This channel was known as DD DD 2 more Metro forward, both channels were transmitted by the ground and not through the sky based satellites. The Indian government launched a series of economic and social reforms in 1991 by Prime Minister Narasimha Rao. Under the new policies of the government allowed private broadcasters and abroad to participate in limited operations in India. This process has been pursued consistently by all subsequent federal governments. Foreign broadcasters such as CNN, Star TV and domestic channels like Zee Sun TV programming and satellite television. In 1962 India had only 42 television sets throughout the country and a TV channel, now TV in India covers more than 130 million households in the population giving a more than 800 million people across more than 300 channels. From a relatively untapped market Large, easy access to relevant technology and a variety of programs are the main reasons for the rapid expansion of television in India. We must underline that entertainment television in India is one of the cheapest in the world.Approximately 65% of households in India have access to satellite television, born in the early 1990s, including Rupert Murdoch's Star TV in 1991.
Sun TV launched in 1992 as the first private channel in southern India. Today is 20 channels in four south Indian languages - Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. TV channels Sun Network are also available outside of India. Recently, Sun TV launched a DTH service. Raj Network was launched in 1994 and is a major player in South India, the cable television industry. In 1992 the government of India changed the policy of opening up cable TV. Five new channels belonging to the Hong Kong-based STAR TV gave Indians a new option. MTV, BBC, Star Plus, Sports and the Chinese star of the First Channel were the five channels. Zee TV was the first private channel owned cablecasting Indians. A few years later CNN, Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel made its foray into India. Star expanded its range of introduction of Star World, ESPN, Star Sports and the gold star. The Regional channels did well, along with a wide range of channels, Hindi and some English channels. In 2001 The History Channel and HBO entered India. In 2003, other channels as Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Disney, Toon Disney, and VH1 joined the varied options for the display of India. In 2003, the channels of international and national news began to grow. India is currently the subject of the application of a television system called CAS, where the viewer has the option to choose the channels they want to pay and point view, rather than receiving the entire set of channels that the cable operator makes available, so you benefit by paying for only the channels you want to see. Currently, in most of India, there is no segregation and subscribers pay a general rate for all service.
Over the past 40 years, the Indians have migrated around the world, the UK, USA and South Africa are only 3 countries in which the resident Indigenous population approached several million years. This has led to new demands of the Indians away from their television and a company OnlineTVepisode.com, has produced a product specifically to those people. The downloaded software allows constant access to a wide range of Indian TV channels online, allowing users to watch local Indian News, Sports, TV shows, music and movies on your laptop or desktop.
